Training Scheme
Subject to the availability of our qualified instructors, we endeavour to offer free tuition and training for beginners, guiding them to the BMFA "A" test level, using the "Buddy-box" system. Our club instructors and examiners offer all the training and assistance needed to become a competent and safe solo flyer. We also encourage our members to take the next step and become qualified to the BMFA 'B' test standard. Have a look at our ADVICE page for more information.
BMFA 'A' Test
The BMFA test is the minimum requirement needed before you can be let loose to fly at the site. This is when the learning really begins. Like anyone who has just passed their test confidence is built up with experience. However, we encourage you to continue calling upon our experienced members who will help you to avoid becoming too complacent which can result in damage to your pride and enjoyment!
BMFA 'B' Test
The test is designed to ensure the competence of those who may wish to be let loose at a public display.
